October, With Care

Hello Everyone!

I am so excited to be sitting down to write these words.

This email marks a new chapter for us.

This new chapter is about the commitment to connecting & nourishing the innermost parts of ourselves, so we can move forward with peace and purpose.

It’s time we do this work together.

I want to work to connect the dots with you, to laugh with you, and likely cry sometimes .

This new chapter is filled with unknown, excitement, courage, kindness, personal power, transformation & energetic sovereignty.

Can you feel it…

To be clear:
With Good Care is a space where the kind, ambitious, and intuitive person is supported to slow down & take good care of themselves.

This is you — this is why you are here reading this.

We will start with some reflective questions that will lead you to consider how you want to show up for yourself this month.

  • What is grounding you?

  • Where can you slow down?

  • How can you play it forward?

I’ll start.

  • What is grounding you?

Well, Fall foods are on my mind!! Colorful root veggies, pumpkin pie spices, grilled cheeses and hearty soups… I never need to be convinced of the wonderful Fall dishes that can provide a sense of grounding nourishment. I’m in for it all! My mom and I are sharing a farm share this Fall and so far we have enjoyed some amazing apples, pears, peppers, kale, chard, and more. Connecting with my Mom each week over this farm share, and then cooking the foods, has been incredibly grounding. I am grateful for our relationship and her presence in me and Doug’s life .

  • Where do you need to slow down?

Hmm… if you ask Doug he will say “she already moves so slow, she doesn’t need anymore slowing down ”. This might be true on the weekends with I lollygag in a parked car on my phone or walking way too slow down the hallway, there are certainly areas of my life in which I need to slow down.

I would like to slow down the time between when I wake up and when I check my phone. It sounds a little “basic”, but it’s true and I recognize the power in this small habit. I don’t look at my phone right away, but I still check it fairly soon after waking up. I’d like for my mornings to remain a time when I’m just being with my own energy.

  • How can you pay it forward?

What can you do now to improve the way you will feel this evening, tomorrow, or in a couple weeks? There are so many ways I feel I could answer this question, but what is coming to mind is curating music and playlists that will serve me in different moments in the future. I haven’t been as into music lately and I miss it. Music greatly impacts my mood and motivation. I’m going to pay it forward by spending the time now to curate a couple playlists, one for meditation and one for workouts. This way, when I’m ready for the activity, I’ll have the right music to get me in the flow!

Now it’s your turn —

  • What is grounding you?

  • Where can you slow down?

  • How can you play it forward?

With love,

Caroline
