The truth about power…
Something that has come through for me over the past couple weeks is the idea that power is personal. It’s not about having authority over others. It’s not about controlling people or situations. It’s not about money or status.
Real personal power…
Means loving all parts of self
Means expressing emotions
Means seeing your shame & shadows and still loving yourself
Means not abandoning yourself to make others feel better about themselves
Means speaking up when something doesn’t feel right
Means seeing yourself for who you really are and not being afraid of your potential or your power
Means owning your own truth and getting curious about triggers Means being the boss of your own self
Means not playing small to avoid feelings of failure
Means taking responsibility for your own emotions
Means not blaming others
Means knowing how kind you truly are, and all that you deserve
Means opening your heart - over & over again - to feel compassion for all
Which definition of personal power resonates most with you? I would love to know!
Can I be honest? I’ve never felt so imperfect 🤯 yet so personally powerful. I’m changing how I think about myself, how I honor myself, how I love myself AND I am evolving as a person. It’s uncomfortable and scary. I am not going through this transformation perfectly, and I’m not close to being finished. And I feel proud :) I owe so much of my ability to grow to the relationship I have with my husband. The safety and love we have has been the most potent container for me to grow. I am so grateful!!
All my love,
Care
